I found this link while reading someone's site a while ago, and have been meaning to post here ever since:
Driving More Efficiently
It gives several tips on how to save money on gas, a little explanation for each, and a savings estimate for a couple of them. Here's the first tip as an example:
Drive Sensibly
Aggressive driving (speeding, rapid acceleration and braking) wastes gas. It can lower your gas mileage by 33 percent at highway speeds and by 5 percent around town. Sensible driving is also safer for you and others, so you may save more than gas money.
Fuel Economy Benefit: 5-33%
Equivalent Gasoline Savings: $0.15-$1.01/gallon
Other tips include observing the speed limit and avoiding excessive idling. I thought this was pretty interesting. I'd heard most of the suggestions before, but without the savings estimates it's hard to judge whether it's worth changing my driving habits.
