FYI, no need to order SmarTrip cards via the mail. You can buy them in most stations, including WFC.
Which bus did you take? Just curious. Welcome to my Metro stop. Let them know you know me and they'll hook you up. Sike.
good choice of title for this post. do you know if all slug lines go to rosslyn or is it possible to slug to falls church and take the bus from there?
JK: Yeah, I know you can buy SmarTrip cards in most stations, but the metro site said 'all stations with parking lots.' The Rosslyn station doesn't have a parking lot, so I figured it'd just be easier to order it online, just in case. I took the 28A bus.
Janna: Thanks. I went through several titles before selecting this one. There are slug lines that go to several different places, but none go out to Falls Church. Check out slug-lines.com for all the known lines.
I've been taking the bus more and more to work now since I get a good discount on a bus pass through my work. I love it. I find I am less stressed out and I am getting a ton of reading done. I only have one transfer so it's not too bad and it takes about 40 minutes. The only complaint is that here and there a bus will smell pretty nasty.
Love the title! I get tickled about this whole slug thing. Talked with your dad about it when he was visiting. Wow, a whole hour to get to work. I guess it takes about that long getting home, too? That's totally amazing. It takes me less than 5 min.
Cassie: The stress reduction alone is worth it. Being able to do other stuff is the icing on the cake.
Booklogged: Slugging's a pretty weird phenomenon. I wonder why it hasn't spread elsewhere? Yep, two hours of commuting a day. I get to work one day a week from home, so on those days, I've got your 5 minutes beat, but I'm pretty jealous of your 'commute' the rest of the week. Add Comment
