Jul 20: New Blog Design

As you can see (unless you're reading this via RSS), I've redesigned furiousBlog. Please post a comment (include what browser you're using) if you notice any weirdness.

Update 2006-07-21: I found some weirdness when viewing the site with the oh-so-crappy Internet Explorer (shocking!). So, I had to make some changes to how the columns were positioned. I wanted the left column to extend down the entire page no matter how long it was, but that caused IE to render the right column too wide for the screen. So, I went back to my original code that made the left column stop after its contents' end. I've also done a couple other little tweaks, so if you notice anything wonky, please comment. Thanks.

Looks great. The only particular wierdness I notice is that the links on the left sidebar don't make my mouse turn into a pointy finger like links are supposed to. But they still work. Just kind of annoying.

Also the text after this comment box ("Enclosing asterisks marks text as bold...") is shown in a huge font, probably not what you want.

I am using Safari.

That's weird about the links; they're just normal links as far as I can tell. They make my mouse happy.

I'll take a look at the CSS for the text below the textarea, too.

You might want to change the the color of the font your links show up as after someone has clicked on it. Right now, if I've already been to that sight, the link blends into the background color making it only barely visible.
I'm on IE.

Ben, my mouse pointer works fine and so does the visited links color. Do we need Lenux or Firefox for things to be just right?

Jana, wonky is a pretty cool word. Do you have a blog, too?

The goal is to make the blog work great everywhere. Even for the poor souls doomed to run Windows. Although, if they're running IE, I have less sympathy; it's hard to switch operating systems; it's easy to switch to Firefox.

Comment	Enclosing asterisks marks text as bold (word), underscore are made via _word_. Standard emoticons like :-) and ;-) are converted to images. BBCode format allowed E-Mail addresses will not be displayed and will only be used for E-Mail notifications
