Jul 5: Fireworks on the Fourth
For the 4th of July, my family and I went up to my brother-in-law's sister's house for some swimming and a cookout. We had a great time playing in the pool and hanging out. It was briefly interuppted by a thunderstorm, but luckily nature was nice enough to time the thunder right when it was time to eat.
As it started becoming dark, we all loaded up in the cars and head over to a local park where there was going to be a fireworks display. Jake wasn't feeling well, so he and I stayed back at the car and watched from there. It turned out that we had a great view. I was planning to take photos of the fireworks, so staying at the car also meant I didn't have to lug my gear anywhere.
Here's a few of the photos I took that turned out ok:
Here's one I took with my longest lens. It's from the viewpoint of a bird who accidentally flew into a fireworks display.

Wow!! I could never get a good pic of fireworks. These are like seeing them in person! I envy your camara and creative ability.
Thanks FT! To be honest, though, there were a lot of pretty bad shots. I think I took over a hundred, but these were the only ones that were showable (and the last one is only showable as an oddity, in my opinion).
