Jun 7: Blueberry disaster
I'm pretty interested in food photography and have been wanting to try it out for a long time now. So, today, I was making some blueberry muffins and decided that they'd be my first food photo attempt.
I was a little rushed because I had to pick up Elise at 8:30 (it was about 8 when I got started) and wanted to get the muffins in the oven so they'd be ready when I got home. So, I had to get the photo gear ready, make the mix, take any ingredient/process shots I wanted, and get the muffins into the oven in about 20 minutes. Sadly, I forgot the eggs, so the muffins were small, dense muffinesque things that both looked ugly and tasted bad.
Argh.
Here's a picture of the blueberries that I took while they were in the colandar. It, too was rushed, so it's not very good either.
I guess taking your time when you're doing two things that require a bit of concentration is a good idea...

When I read the title of this blog, I expected it to involve at least one blueberry explosion. It's not really a disaster unless it involves cleaning blueberry off the wall.
Yeah, you're right. The title is a little sensationalistic.
