Or, more appropriately, the weekend that wasn't. Another weekend has come and gone without a single person coming to look at the house.
On Friday, we met with our realtor and decided to lower the price of our house. Apparently, in the past few weeks, most of the other houses in our neighborhood have lowered their price. Obviously, that means that we had to, too. We only lowered it by $5,000 so it's not too big of a deal. We also changed the listing to hint that we may be open to paying some of the closing costs. As a sorry consolation, at least this crappy market is affecting the people we want to buy from, too. One of the houses we had looked at has already lowered their price, and we'll definitely be negotiating once (if ever) we're in a position to buy.
So, no people and less money. Woo hoo!
