As I predicted, Drive has been cancelled after four episodes.

Why do show creators bother putting new shows on Fox? For that matter, why does Fox bother putting new shows on the air?

It sucks being right all the time.

Yep, that's right. I'm now a comic book reader and it's all thanks to Joss Whedon.

You see, he's continuing the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV show in comic book form. Yesterday, I received "episodes" 1 & 2 of Buffy "season 8." I admit that I was somewhat apprehensive about the whole thing. A lot of the genius that was Buffy came from the characters and the dialogue. Is it possible to capture the emotion and humor of the show in a comic book?

You really shouldn't bother watching Fox's new show Drive. Cyndi and I sat and watched the first two episodes last night. It's produced (maybe created) by Tim Minear who wrote and (I think) was a producer on the Joss Whedon shows Firefly and Angel, and did the same on Wonderfalls. As if that wasn't enough reason to watch, the show also stars several Whedon-verse actors, specifically Nathon Fillian (captain tightpants from Firefly) and Amy Acker (Fred from Angel). Even Jubil Early, the bounty hunter from Firefly makes a guest appearance in the first episode. Besides that, it is entertaining and pretty well-written with a good plot and no obviously annoying or weak characters.

Before it started I predicted that one of two things would happen with the show: either it would suck and last forever, or be great and get cancelled after four episodes. Well, it was good, and, as is the tradition with shows I like, it will soon be cancelled.

Also, it appears that the ratings weren't very good, either.
