You really shouldn't bother watching Fox's new show
Drive. Cyndi and I sat and watched the first two episodes last night. It's produced (maybe created) by Tim Minear who wrote and (I think) was a producer on the Joss Whedon shows Firefly and Angel, and did the same on Wonderfalls. As if that wasn't enough reason to watch, the show also stars several Whedon-verse actors, specifically Nathon Fillian (captain tightpants from Firefly) and Amy Acker (Fred from Angel). Even Jubil Early, the bounty hunter from Firefly makes a guest appearance in the first episode. Besides that, it is entertaining and pretty well-written with a good plot and no obviously annoying or weak characters.
Before it started I predicted that one of two things would happen with the show: either it would suck and last forever, or be great and get cancelled after four episodes. Well, it was good, and, as is the tradition with shows I like, it will soon be cancelled.
Also, it appears that
the ratings weren't very good, either.
