...but now, I'm really really bald:

On my lunch break today, I went to the county zoning office to finalize my home employment certificate.

So, I'm officially in business. I can't actually have people into my home studio yet, but I can start to operate my business. There's another permit that I need before I can actually have people in the studio.

Also, I registered the domain name rasmussenphoto.com for the studio's website.

While she made her own ants (see the whole set for some in-progress photos), some quick googling turned up these for us lazier types.

1. It is surprising how many models of car don't have an always-there clock.
   
2. It's a bad idea to let your Metro card balance get low.
   
3. It's a bad idea not to always verify that you're getting on the correct bus. The feeling you get when you bus turns left out of the subway station--when it should most certainly turn right--can only be described as sinking.
   
4. When you combine the previous two, it makes for a long walk to work since you don't want to use what's left on your card in case that means that you couldn't ride the bus back at the end of the day.
   

Can you guess happened to me this week?

For a while, I used to do an occasional feature where I highlighted one of the photoblogs I frequent. I've intended to post a new one for a long time. But, as you know, I'm very lazy.

Since my last photosite feature (back in 2005!), I've gotten into Flickr and have decided that in addition to photoblogs, I'll also feature some of the photographers who I add to my flickr contacts.

Oh yeah, I've also decided that I wouldn't attempt to 'review' the photos so much. I'm not much good at reviewing stuff, I've decided. Suffice it to say, if I'm blogging it, I like it. If I don't, I'll say so. Of course, I reserve the right to forget that I'm not a good reviewer at my sole discretion.
