Tonight, I had some time to actually take some photos using my new equipment in the new studio. Jake was my (somewhat) willing subject. Well, he was willing since I let him cross his eyes and make funny faces and poses.

We had some snow and ice a couple weeks ago. I got out the camera and took a few photos. None of them turned out great, but here are a couple that aren't too bad:

This weekend, I spent many hours working on the photo studio. The main thing was getting the walls and ceiling painted, but I also mounted the backdrop system to the wall.

I've been wanting to make my blog more minimalist for a while now. I like minimalism. When I log into my computer I am greeted by a beautiful gray screen with a mouse pointer in the middle, and nothing else: no menus, no icons, no taskbar. I love it.

For furiousBlog, I wanted something clean and crisp. For a while, I was thinking of porting simplr (check out the screenshot at the bottom of that page), but decided to not go that minimalist. I ended up going with Hemingway which is one that I had admired when I saw it for Wordpress. It has since been ported to Serendipity.
