Happy New Year, everybody. I hope you had a good New Years Eve and a good holiday season in general.
We celebrated New Years Eve by letting the kids stay up until midnight and watching all three of the original Star Wars movies while eating junk food. Our kids had never seen them and they got them for Christmas, so we started around 6 and watched Star Wars until about 12:30 with a short break to watch the ball drop at midnight. Jake and Elise made it the whole way, but Claire fell asleep around 11. It was a good time (although the changes George Lucas made to the movies--especially the new song at Jaba's lair and replacing the original Anakin ghost at the end of Jedi with the new Anakin--were somewhat infuriating).
