Moving: Step 6, waiting forever (and of course, more work...)

So, it's been two weeks since we put the offer on the house we like. Since then, I've continued fixing stuff and making improvements to the house. This past weekend, I finally finished the front railings. Two of the posts' bases had basically rusted away, so on Friday, I cut them off and attached new base sections. It was sort of fun; there were a lot of sparks. Then, on Saturday I painted the railings and then pressure-washed the backyard fence and deck. It took 6.5 hours, but it looks awesome. That combined with the other improvements to the backyard really make a huge difference.

Did you notice that I gave no update on the state of our offer? That's because we haven't heard back on it; apparently, we're being ignored. This is all very annoying. If they don't like our offer, just say so, jerk! So, we're going to withdraw our offer and start looking at other houses. We're assuming they aren't accepting it because the offer is contingent on the sale of our house. So, if we get an offer on ours, we'll probably make a new, non-contingent offer. Obnoxious.
