Jan 16: Overly cautious much?
I just caught the opening credits to Red Dragon on some cable channel (I think it was USA). At one point, they briefly show Leonarda Da Vinci's Vitruvian man (shown right).
But, even Da Vinci isn't above the absurd over-cautious censorship that is rampant these days. They showed the drawing, only they made sure to blur his manhood--yes, they neutered the Vitruvian man--lest some young TV viewer be scarred for life. Let us not forget that this is at the beginning of a movie about a cannabalistic serial killer.
Seriously, is that really necessary?
