Do you really want to put in the effort to learn how to type on that Alphagrip thing? I'm not sure I see the advantage, unless you are typing while standing up.
Have you ever seen/tried one of those "keyboards" that projects a light pattern on a surface and you "type" onto those? I've never seen one in person, but I can't imagine they work real well. Strangely I'm having a hard time finding one online right this second, so either they never came out, they came out and sucked, or I dreamed the whole thing. This looks interesting though (not as a keyboard replacement, though) http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/77ba/
Yeah, if it works well, I'd be willing to use it. My reason is that I like to lean back in my chair and put my feet up. When doing so, though, I can never get the keyboard into a comfortable working position in my lap. I think the alphagrip would work well for that.
According to Engaget, the Optimus announcement refers to this cool looking but possibly pointless gadget: http://engadget.com/2006/01/14/the-optimus-mini-three/
Well, that sure makes more sense considering the "small packages" line. It's a little sneaky to put that note on the keyboard page if it's not about the keyboard.
